Are electronics the only difference of are there other things like shocks, braces, diffs, etc?

If electronics are the only thing that's different then the brushed version with a hobbywing brushless system seems the way to go

As far as I know the only difference between the new brushed and brushless cars is the electronics and the brushed models come with fixed plastic turnbuckles instead of metal adjustable ones.

What's the price difference between the two?

$90 price difference. You're probably going to want the metal adjustable turnbuckles with rod ends.
https://www.arrma-rc.com/part/AR330470 = $8
https://www.arrma-rc.com/part/AR330535 x 3 = $12
So now there's an $70 difference. Which Hobbywing are you looking at? The equivalent 2-3s combo is around $100. There's going to be tax and shipping charges as well. Then there's the time it takes to put it all together. By my calculations you're paying $30+ more and you have to put in extra labor. I would just go for a 3s brushless BLX.

The Max10 SCT combo is $140.

If the only differences between the Mega and the BLX are what's already been mentioned, and you know you want to run something other than the BLX100 combo, then the Mega sounds like the way to go. Treat it like a roller. Now if you plan on running the BLX100, then I'd just get the BLX version.

I started with a Senton Mega and am now running 3s on it...love my mega mega.

It comes down to if you want to do the mods to go brushless. If you're keen on wrenching conversion is the way to go. If you just want to open and bash with the faster method that's not bad out of the box then go 3s ;)

$230 -> https://www.arrma-rc.com/rc-cars/latest/senton/mega/4x4

As mentioned by @bicketybam, it will cost a few more bucks to basically get the vehicle to become brushless. Not sure what the reasoning is behind it since it is not about saving money unless you happen to already have the ESC/Motor available.

Are interested purely based on the Hobbywing brushless system?

The servo is slightly different between the two.

Although you do get the NiMH battery/wall charger (becomes a doorstop).

Arrma brusshed is str8 junk I don’t think they even make it it’s so bad I think another company makes it for them and they slap Arrma on it. Matter of fact there whole 1/10 scale line is trash. Now 1/8 and up Arrma is king and solid gold. If your wanting a 1/10 scale brushed bc your new to the hobby go with a Traxxas they build their brushed kits identical to their brushless so it’s literally a matter of swapping Esc and motor. With Arrma stick to the big kits small kits stick with Traxxas...just speaking from experience having owned a couple Megas (Arrma’s brushed kits)

Is the motor mount still the fixed one on the brushed models? I never checked.

You want the Max10 SCT not the standard Max10.

No it isn't fixed anymore but it is plastic instead of aluminum https://www.arrma-rc.com/part/ARA311029
Slipper/Spur assembly is different.
Diffs are the same. No more plastic input gear.
So if I bought a new mega I would want to change out the motor module and the slipper assembly when doing the brushless conversion. But I would just get the brushless one to start, the mega still isn't worth upgrading to brushless vs just starting with the brushless model to begin with.

Before they updated the Mega series, it just want cost effective to buy a Mega and convert it to brushless. You had to change too many things. It made more sense to just buy the BLX version. Now with the changes, it seems like it's not a bad idea, especially if you want to run something other than the BLX100 combo ???
