Arrma RC's
  1. Notorious
Yup, walked into the hobby shop and they had two left. Also got a new battery to try. PowerHobby 6s 5000mah 100c. Figured this would pair nicely with the notorious

That's a great battery for bashing. Use it in my Outcast. I also use some of the PowerHobby 6500mah 130c graphenes in my speedrun car. They work great and the internal resistance is no more than 1-2 milliohms per cell.

That is good to know. Haven’t looked at these brand batteries a whole lot but what I have read seems promising.

So if what I’m reading is correct. The GRP 7’s are the wheels to buy? Think I might pick up a set for speed runs and a hard slick set for drifting. Keep the factory wheels for dirt for the time being.

^^^ Nice new Typhon.
After a break-in, I would look over the 3 diffs. Make sure they are all filled and F and R are shimmed correctly. Have some Silicone Diff oil on hand.
Yeah those Katar tires' Treads are usually short lived anyway. And especially on Pavement.
Keep them for the grass and dirt to get the most out of them. Depends how hard you drive.
GRP's (S7-Hard ) for serious speeds. Hoons for tooling around and lower speed runs. Under 100. GRP's are usually cheaper.
Method RC Velociters (y) and also $Proline's$ Proxes are out there.

Stay away from the larger Felony Hoons (53/107) Have them. They sucked for traction on my TLRT Typhon. Never use them now on any rig

Absolutely, got two runs completed now. Going to pull them back out this week and check ‘em out. Learned my lesson with the notorious to not check them prior.

Those look like some good options as well. Will have to look into them. Maybe I should run the toyo proxies as I ran those on my Mach 1 years ago.

Have looked at the hoons and LHS carry’s them. But heard they don’t have the same grip as the GRP’s and they’re more expensive.

Finally got around to looking at the diff fluid. Got into the rear one just now. I’d say it needs some. Added 20k as it’s what I have on hand. I have 40k I’ll add to the front and 200k I’m the center if needed.

There are no shims on the diff but it felt good. We will see after a few more runs if it’s needed.
