Kraton Just got my new 1/5 scale servo in... time to open it up and mod!

I wanted to get the 70kg Primal R/C servo, but they are back ordered.

I picked up this one for $46, it’s specs look pretty good and it’s waterproof.

I will let you all know how it performs once I put it in.

But first... I greased the gears with Honda lithium dielectric grease, probably the best, longest lasting grease on the planet that was specially developed by Honda. Available on Amazon.

...and lastly, I just added some conformal coating (also available on Amazon). Even though the servo is rated as “waterproof”, I coated the back of the circuit board anyway to at least ensure it’s water resistance.

Never had any luck with PowerHD but not this one. I pretty much do the same to my cheap DS type servos, not nexcessarily the same grease. A little extra protection never hurts and always a good idea to coat the electronics.
