K4S Body Options

Hello everyone.

There doesn’t seem to be much choice when it comes to body shells for the Kraton 4S. And I’ve seen the odd post here and there saying certain Traxxas bodies fit, but no definitive answers.

So, I’m looking for any information on what you have done, or what you have seen done with the K4S.

Any pictures would help massively.

These seem like very popular trucks, so hopefully this can help others in finding something that differs from the standard truck.

Well there is a 5 page thread entitled "Kraton Compatible Body Database" on this very page...

You need something close to the 12.8" wheel base and wider than the 6" chassis width. For Jconcepts and Pro-line those are the ones labeled 1:8 MT.

Cool, thanks for the help. I did find ghat thread but it looked like they were all K6S?

I've been looking at the same thing, I might end up buying a clear K4S body and paint it myself.

hmmm, some of them look to be 4S. Some you can tell the wheelbase of the body is way short and those are definitely 6S (14.8" wheelbase).

If you are willing to do some trimming and figure out body mounts, anything here (except maybe the rat rod) should fit the 3S/4S long wheelbase chassis. Jconcepts has some too, but don't list dimensions like proline does.
