Is there any way to prevent the hood holes seen in pics? I’d like to get a replacement body but I don’t want this to reoccur. When I first noticed the spots, prior to poking through, I used some dampening rubber but that didn’t do much.

Are there any posts, shock mods, etc to lower whatever is poking through? The body physically needs pushed down in order to clip it onto the RC. I’m pretty sure this cause the stress to tear the rear. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

I use shoe goo and drywall tape on my bodies and it helps a lot with durability.
I use gorilla tape strategically placed, sometimes 2 or 3 pieces thick. Then heat gun and press in all the crevices. But I'm sure there are some other tricks as well.

Got the goo and mesh tape but haven't tried it yet.

Add more lexan..😎.. you can buy .030" sheets on Amazon or eBay.. adhere the cut pieces with 3m 5200... It is by far the best method of body longevity I've tried hands down.. 👍

What's that thingy on your roof? Sorry, relatively new kraton owner here
Reinforcement and also rests on top of the cage thingy..lol. It's an 8s so it's pretty big.

Thanks. Do you have an opinion on the normal version versus the fast-curing version?

Use the fast dry, 24hrs for full cure... Use the original and you will be waiting 7 days...😉

Gorilla tape works very well. Cheap to repair, and quick to put on. Add multiple layers makes it very strong. Put a couple of layers on the inside of the body where those holes are starting. Will stop from spreading further--i know from personal experience.

Thanks all! I’ll give the guerilla tape a try on this damaged body and try that lexan or drywall tape on the next.
Use a heat gun if you have one. It helps conform the tape to the body and stick better. I'm gonna try the mesh tape and goo technique next time because I already have it. Also I grabbed this stuff(for mesh tape), last time I was in HD..but not seen it used anywhere? Maybe someone on here will see this and chime in. 👍🏼

I haven’t tried the Goop, but both E6000 and ShoeGoo are well liked. For me, E6000 seems to not be as thick and spreads a little easier.

Lexan is the way to go. I like to keep my body weight down (no pun intended).

I check out the forums for pictures of damaged bodies like yours (if I have not already damaged mine) and apply protection to the vulnerable areas. Damage to the back, I typically use shoe goo only and it holds up pretty good. If the crack is larger I will cut small pieces of Lexan and shoe goo it in place. The damage to the hood, same thing, cut a couple squares from the Lexan sheet and shoe glue it on!

I have one body that has been repaired probably 6 times, still looks kinda okay.. lol

The below photo is a Senton 3S body, you can see the shoe goo and strategically placed lexan strips for additional strength. Did the same to the back.

Thanks everyone! This is the way I’ll go with. I’ll post updates once completed. Probably after the holidays
