Kraton K6s - Mixed EXB/RTR suspension arms

Gents,

Thanks again to all the Pros on here who give guidance and R/C wisdom to those of us with lesser experience.

Well...I sent the K6s off 30 footer tonight and panicked on the landing. Total rookie...thought I could Duperbash but quickly realized I don’t got it! ? I got a video of the “incident”. Will try to upload if possible.

Broke my lower left front arm and bent left front CVD. Question: Can I replace just the left EXB arm without doing both at once? Or do I need to do both the uppers at same time? (Btw, damage would have been 5x worse but for the beastly T-bone bumper, saved me many times...). Are the RTR and EXB front CVDs the same?

I’d like to transition to EXB parts as necessary so any insight/answers would be much appreciated. Thanks fellas!!! ??

Exb arms are a little different from the RTR arms. I’d replace all at once. Also note, the towers are also slightly different with the exb with different suspension angles. (The rear for sure not positive about front) so basically, if you get the arms, you’ll need the towers as well ??‍. Probably not what you wanted to hear haha.

Haha. Thanks @Rcproponent. It’s only time and ?! I heard that about the rear EXB set up but maybe some other EXBers will chime in regarding the front angles.

Possibly go for RPM as a quick fix (vs stock RTR)?

you have good humor ? I think we all want to do the things that rich superbash or rcdude81 do ? and just send it ? but soon realize that you better start small ? because yes you really have to practice ?

Yes some parts from EXB are different..the A Arms are thicker then the RTR Kraton 6s A arms...
I bought a few items for my RTR kraton and was thinking the EXB would match up and i was wrong...
But i do love the EXB tower to chassis braces those are really sick.. Perfect fit..

Thanks niner. Yeah, those braces look sick - and at half the price of M2C - they may appear on my rig one day. ??

Exb arms have a different shock mount pins in the lower and rear arms so don’t forget those. I have a mix of rpm and stock arms on my Kraton. Just too cheap to change them all at once...
