Vendetta KBASH 3S CHALLENGE TESTING

Since @LibertyMKiii started the 3s challenge on the forum I'm going all in..gonna try different motors on different cars an see what works best..didn't want to clog up thread with my snanagins...so I figured I'd start additional thread to share my testing..waiting on packs an parts to arrive...in the mean time I'm trying to figure out what combos to try...really want to try 1/10 noto...light setup,only problem I have is gearing high enough for 100+...28/36 is all I can fit at moment...just tested xlx 3080kv with Ole basher pack...might need to spend more on new HR slipper eliminater an new gears for a 32S or go with higher kv.....here's today's test results..I'll figure out how to get it above 100mph. Must be able to gear higher for 1/10 to work

Aerodynamically not good for speed,hoping the lighter weight will help.gonna be hard to compete with the very aero GT bodys..gonna give it a try thou..

Yeah gearing is tough on 3S...

On this test, it's the battery holding it back. 9.2V flat is making it miss out 3k rpm. It would have hit ~90.

I also went for full sized BSR foams, they are almost 10% larger

I guesstimate 1mph per mm tire..verys per setup..average 1mph/mm.

Working on mounting xlx2 in what used to be my xlx typhon..vortek body just enough room for fanless esc.think I'm gonna get a 325mm bitty body for this car.this car has 3.3 diffs which will put me at a sweet spot for geared plenty +- using 3480kv.

Vendetta is ready,just need packs to arrive.
Start with this gearing. Efficiency,torque an slow buildup is key for the 56mm to work imo.

Decided to put 3480kv in vendetta with 1st par of packs,1 new 70c 5k an a old 5000mah 100c red series.getting rest of my packs mon.3s pb 104mph

1st hits on new setup...this 36mm gonna do some things.single 70c 5k with low amp draw,VD,an motor has alot more in it..car gained over 1000rpms in last second of short run before lifting!!!!

Been super busy working in the heat.got the day off..got all my packs an new gnss..sodered up packs...2×70c 5k an 2× 90c 5200..today will be my 1st hits on all new packs...try the 70c first since I'll have to adjust trey to fit longer 90c packs..

Pulled off a 106,109mph pass today...gonna cut down the extremely long wiring I've got going on...over .5v of ripple during wot will be eliminated with 8 inches of wiring removed...plus shed some weight..going for a 110mph pass before dark today...

I'm try for 110mph, 3rd place brother... here in couple hrs...still got alot of changes to make to car that I believe are holding car back..keep eating throu input gear gearings..gonna replace ring an pinion,metal diff housings with larger bearings an tekno cups...it'll be a few hr job..just gotta find time...got alot of centershaft vibrations right now going on
Testing out xlx2 tp3650-3080kv setup.ran 90mph with single 90c 5200mah.thought I had cleared logs,but logs where full..if this motor does as good as I suspect it'll get 2.8 diffs..currently 33/32/13/43.just need a good log to proceed..also ordered a bittydesign body for this car...

After running a 109,107,110mph with 30/34 I swapped out for 29/32 for a 3.5mph gain,lowered car,removed 11 inches of wire from pack to esc,an redid tray for longer 90c 5200mah ...hopefully help with my .5v of ripple during wot...should see less than half of that..on a hi kv motor .5v makes much more of a difference.ive learned running low voltage systems that every little bit counts... try an get a another run in today then slam car to the ground an hit up spot sat morning for some long runs...my record is 4500ft.gonna try a looonnnggg trigger pull..with 2nd deck I could fit 4 5k packs no problems if ever needed..

Ran a pb 114,111,114mph today...gearing up from 29/32 to 30/32 hoping for a 117 in the am..
Had fender/tire rub on this pass..stripped on all tires..will raise body back up

With the taller gearing I was expecting 117mph.ran 113,111mph with 70c.....
Ran a 114mph with 90c.the wall I was expecting to hit has happened. To to disassemble car an tighten up center drivetrain.wobbles must be fixed to proceed..LOTS of 3,4,5s passes on stock diffs,center shafts...replace bearings,steal some parts off another car an try to get back to running..ordered new parts to replace everything..won't arrive till possibly Wed though.....TOOL TIME..

Probly just gonna try a few things an wait on parts..1st try with tp5660 1460kv on good packs..52/27 an surprised to see voltage at 10.9-11v majority of wot...98mph on 1100ish ft pull..ordered a 24,25t spur for this setup.feels more powerful than 40mm using less volts....

Very excited to test this 3650 next in detta before I tear it down..I think this little motor will surprise us all.

Tore car down enough to fix some vibrations up some,found a rear axle stub was rubbing hub causing some roll-restriction..I believe it's good to try for a pb again,but first I've got 36×84 motor to try before tossing 3480kv back in.i believe this little 3650 will do good.should have enough power with little voltage drop...2y,3y motors are my favorite motors..this motor seams to just keep building rpms...never geared it this high or pushed it this hard...soon as roads dry I'll run it...temp gun in hand..

1st decent hit with 3650-3080kv..motor was much cooler than I expected...will continue with this motor later ,back in with the 3480kv an going for a pb next today
