Like the title states I'm having bearing issues with my v3 kraton. The stock bearings were great the first couple of weeks and then one failed entirely without warning. I decided to replace them with dsm elements series shielded bearings. Installation went as expected and since I've been using these bearings in my other vehicles I chose them for the kraton. Problem is they seem to fail pretty quickly after a few packs. I mainly bash at construction sites and blow out loose dirt with an air hose when finished. Is there a more robust bearing for these heavier vehicles? Hub bearings and rear pinion bearing are the weak points for mine. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Fast Eddy or Avid seem to be the bearings of choice. I run Fast Eddy on my Kraton and they're holding up very well. Can't say the same for other parts though.

Yeah, shielded bearings suck dude... no offense but I don’t know why you’d buy shielded bearings as a replacement ? sealed bearings are the way to go, like fast eddy

I may have to give the fast eddy set a try. Thanks. The first picture and these are from my first break last night. Steering link end snapped. Luckily had a full set of end links on hand that came with the body mounts.

Jims bearings are the only ones that i use, but i did get a stupid deal on a bunch of packs of factory ones. the only ones i have had issues are the front inners.

several good bearing companies out there. I have both Fast Eddy's and Avid. Fast Eddy supports this forum so I will probably focus on them more going forward. But at the end of the day don't buy shielded bearings, buy sealed bearings like @Peeeenuuutt said

Pretty much all I run are fast eddy bearings on all 8 of my trucks. They seem to hold up well for me. The only ones I have to keep a close eye on are the 10x16 bearings on the cup side of my savage diffs, but that's more a design flaw of HPI than anything. Also the inside bearings on my stampede as they are thin as well. Since I run RPM carriers on all 3 of my revo's, they use larger than stock bearings, so the FE ones hold up well there too.
