Hey all,

Got my first RC car this week, its the Kraton 4S V2.

Ive read that i should check the diffs for oil and shim them if necessary while im at it. But i am having a hard time figuring out which shims i should get. From the explode view page i believe these AR709052 ( https://www.arrma-rc.com/en/product/washer-12x15.5x0.2mm-4/ARAC9937.html ) are the ones to shim the ring gear but i am not 100% sure. There doesn't seem to be a stock shim on the pinion gear so i cant figure out which shims to get for that if it is even needed ? Also what kind of grease would you recommend to go on the diff after finishing up ?

Hope someone out here can help a noob out.

Sorry I do not have a 4S but someone here does that cab chime in

The 3s/4s rigs don’t have shims like the 6s rigs. Just top them off and send it.

Oh ok, well i already ordered a set of the ones from the OP allong with some diff and shock oil, if they don't need it that's fine they were only 5 bucks anyway.

Yup, you bought the right shims. They already come with the car, shouldn't need to add any more.

I clicked into this thread planning on getting some myself but interestingly enough, it seems I don't even need them. So, it's a good news day :)

Confirmed that there are shims on the diffs from the factory, just did a rebuild last night. Not sure how I didn't notice them before but they're definitely there.
