Kraton 8S Diff Shimming

Hey ya’ll, wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction for appropriately shimming the Kraton 8S Diff.

I don’t even bash and I’m on 3rd case and 4th set of internal gears in between front and rear diff

Shimming any diff is the same process. If there’s right/left play, then add a shim. If it’s too tight, then remove a shim.

You want a tiny bit of backlash between the gears.

There’s also pinion depth.

The process is the same, but you need different shims. I recently did a 8s diff of an outcast and it needed some serious shimming on the inside, 0.4mm on both sides, so 0.8mm in total.

What are the measurements for your shims? I’m going to order a few and have them just in case

It was not my car and I don't remember exactly.

I had to add shims here on both sides of the diff, I think I used 8x12x0.1/0.2 mm
