First run was going well until I botched one of the landings. Broke right front lower control arm. I'll replace it with a stock one and will order an RPM one. So yeah. Stock tires are OK on grass and it fish tails on dirt. I aired it out a few times. Shock shafts and shock rod ends are looking good. Fingers crossed! That's my biggest issue with my O8S.

Sucks about the breakage! These 8S rigs are 30lbs, bad landings are hard on those arms. If you're not breaking $hit, you're not bashing! 🤷‍♂️

I will say this. My Outcast 8s with the same exact batteries and power system (I stole it from my O8S) has had a few landings like that (awkward) and since it's a bit lighter, it drove away from them. And I'm talking about many many jumps. I've only broken two lower stock control arms on my Outcast 8s after many many jumps. Including into concrete. Maybe it was luck. IDK. Shock shafts and shock rod ends are looking good though. As far as those hold up, I'm over the moon. It happens 🤣👍

Second run was cut short. I sheared off one of the pins on the CVD where it connects to the drive cup on the front diff (right front). Oh well. At least I didn't break an arm this time 🙄.

I did this 3 times in my RTR k8.. castle 2028 combo. 🤷🏻‍♂️ It took me forever to find it too cause the cvd stayed put and was pretending nothing was wrong 😂🤣
After watching my video in slow motion, I think it's my fault that the pin broke on my CVD. Watch the crash at the end of the video.
Good video too brother 👍🏻✌🏻

Yep, that will do it...
Great footage bro.
And those jumps were only at like 50% throttle. Getting used to it. And I didn't want to push my luck with those lower stock arms 🤣. Thanks for watching.

It's kind of crazy that only the pin broke with a hit like that 😜

I sent her really high this time. The last two landings were horrible. I bent my front chassis brace (it was bent even before landing bad), my right rear shock is binding (landed on two wheels) and leaking but I think I damaged the lower part of the shock body. I also broke an Arrma strap and that destroyed my lipo battery. But it was fun. She down now.

After inspecting the shock, the shock shaft and shock rod end have no damage. The only damage I found was the shock cartridge on the bottom. Totally my fault. It was a 20ft plus landing on the right front and right rear wheels only. Chassis still looks straight to me. Now what about that chassis brace that I managed to bent even before the horrible landings? I landed all my other big jumps on the wheels and that brace was already bent a little bit. If I replace it with a stock Arrma, it's going to bend again. So aftermarket one? So now I need the shock cartridge ARA 330738 but no one has it online 😳😭. Bummer

Today I bent the upper front chassis brace like a banana on my K8S EXB . I've never done that with my Outcast 8s with the same high jumps. I still believe that the O8S is a better basher.

I messed up the right rear shock cartridge (leaking) and destroyed one lipo battery (Arrma strap broke off). I also bent the upper front chassis brace like a banana. I've never done that with my Outcast 8s (the chassis brace) with the same jumps. I still strongly believe that the O8S is a better basher. That's been my experience. It just breaks and bends less stuff with my 20ft jumps. That's been my experience :

Well , these are the risks when you're trying to make something fly that doesn't have wings !!! LOL
Well then shucks! I really thought that I wouldn't have much issues with my 20ft jumps, but this thing might be going higher than I think 😜😁😅

More pictures of the damage from the past bash. Also one of the bolts on my steering link came loose so I took off the front end to tighten it and I also installed the M2C hinge pin retainers since I was in that area. I finally got the power module together (new XLX2) and the new Raminator servo. I also installed an extra strap on the top of the battery box (big 6s Arrma one) and replaced the broken strap with a small 6s Arrma one. I'm also going to try out the giant Rovan shocks on my K8S since the stock rear one is still damaged and NO PARTS ARE AVAILABLE! I also have to cut the carbon fiber tubes and install them over the chassis braces so that I don't turn them into a banana again. So I'm almost done so that I can send this thing flying again. I also bought one of those modules that measures speed and height since I suspect that I might be sending my rigs higher into the air than I think 😁. That should be interesting.

All fixed up. I noticed that the Rovan shocks have barely any bounce back? So I'm assuming it's the springs that are too weak. Not sure. I asked Megasty about it. I put 80wt on the front and 70wt on the rear ones.

Did the chassis bend too?
