I just realized yesterday those mashers have the same rims as the mx57. Makes me feel better about buying them as the mashers have been great 😎 👍

Really? Maybe I should have gotten the MX57s then. Hehe. It's ok, I like the different look of the Mashers. I got enough tires with motorcross style thread pattern. 😁

Motor and tires are in. The wing mount needs some TLC from landing upside down. Mashers compared to the trenchers on my Outcast 8s :

So I went for a test drive with the new lighter) smaller wheels and the new motor. With the bigger 4.3 trenchers and the 2028 Castle motor (which burned up after that run), I hit 60mph. I managed to get 53MPH with the 5692 RC juice motor and smaller Masher X tires. I wonder if the tires made the difference since everything else is the same? On a side note, I managed to get 59MPH with the O8S, proline trenchers and the HW 5687 motor. I'm assuming it's the bigger tires that are making the speed difference. The Masher X tires are way more stable than the trenchers for high peed runs on grass indeed. I like them a lot already. The 5692 motor feels good too. The Gens basher pro 8000mah 100C batteries lasted 9 minutes of non stop full throttle. They were starting to get a bit hot though at 133F. Outside temp was 75F. The motor was kept around 160F with the high speed fans. Gearing is 30/47. I feel that it's not a good idea to run these heavy beasts at full throttle non stop. Even with lower gearing like mine. I did it for testing purposes, since I don't drive non stop like that usually.

You're so lucky!!! snow and ice everywhere!! I want to test out the tp 5860 (112mm iirc) 1070 kv I just put in my o8s. Driving on ice is no real test :ROFLMAO:

Man it's crazy driving on those trenchers and then going to the mashers, it's like a whole new world of stability!! :ROFLMAO:

Apparently you lose top speed, but you gain stability with the Masher X tires . I'll take that.

Testing went well. No wheelies with these tires, which is exactly what I want with punch control at 100:

I finally put the tires that I should have put in the beginning. Proline badlands 4.3 tires. The other tires ripped, including the proline trenchers 4.3.

I have a Kraton 8s EXB with Castle XLX2/1100kv motor combo with 30/39 gearing. I tried the Pro-Line Mashers and they lasted about 4 battery packs before all four wheels were cracked in multiple places. Pro-Line nor the local hobby shop where I purchased them would help me out. $180.00 down the drain.

I got that completely backwards. The trenchers ripped. Now I'm going back to badlands 😅

I would have still been running the stock ones if I didn't destroy the damn things. User error most likely 😂
I'm glad you corrected that because I was sitting here like WOW that sounds backwards :ROFLMAO:

I really like my trenchers crazy air control but I hate the con of struggling to go faster with them. I definitely like mx43's more.

I'm really curious how people manage to do this lol. I have same combo with same tires and they lasted me over a year. I even land on concrete with them multiple times and have never had anything this bad. I think some people have even had success using mx57's on 12s and never had that happen and they use the same wheels. Feelsbad bro

These are the bane of my existence. If I breathe too heavily they fall out.
Don't even gt me starts on the bolts that hold the ring gear to the diff cases (even the aluminum ones after putting loctite) I have to check those after like 20 runs. I guess you are supposed to check your diffs at that amount anyways. And yes, that set screw in the hubs come loose, even after I use blue loctite.
Can you put a sleeve (old bearing race) or hose clamp around them to bandaid the problem?
I would have try to fix those, with a hub, some aluminum foil around the hub and two part metal reinforced epoxy. I did that on one of my stripped rims and it worked great :
