Kraton 8s max5 esc motor choice

Hi folks...

I have just traded my corally kronos for a kraton 8s...

The spektrum esc I have put in to my felony with my castle 1717, as I am awaiting the release of the xlx2 again...


I have moved my max5 esc in to the kraton...
My question is which motor choice would you guys recommend?
Should I go coke can motor like the 800kv 56113?

Also what gearing should I use?

All advice welcome... are there any other tips to improve the 8s kraton?

I'm in the same boat , just moved my electronics from my K8S into my Xmaxx , def getting the Max 5 for the K8S , but was thinking the HW 5687 1100kv . Saw a vid of a guy running a 29t pin on this set up , it looked great !! Fast to , he showed it getting 58mph .
This one .... was he trying to hit that light pole ??? LOL

With stock wheels and tires this motor/ESC-combo handles 1/1 gearing easily and is a blast to drive.
When mounting bigger and heavier tires my electronics sometimes have trouble keeping up the power with 1/1 gearing but 39/47 still runs great.
I do find the 56113 adds al lot of weight to the front of the truck and it shows in handling/suspension.
(In time I might look into something lighter.)

I’m running the 980 kV motor with a max 5. The is 23/47. It runs 60. With good motor temps. I’m going to Do 25/47.
