I have wanted a Kraton since I saw them first and I managed to get a roller with a pretty nice discount.
Here it is bone stock, just unboxed:
I first went with a Castle MMX + 1515 combo, with a 17T pinion, but the ESC died on the maiden run...
(It's at castle now... but I'm really dissapointed, motor was NOT hot at all and the ESC still died...)
Then I switched to a HW MAX6 + 4985 combo, first on 19T, now back on 17T (It was really silly, I haven't had the place to even fully squeeze the trigger)
I'm running it on 6S with:
- Yeah Racing heat sink with double tornado vents on the motor (it was also on the castle 1515)
- DMOND DBS5084V WP 50 kg servo on 7.4 V
- very nice Basherbodies "Kraken" unbreakable body with dual lights installed (decal set by DDRC, I customized it a bit)
- removed the center tower, because with this body there is no need for it
- POS rear bumper and skid plate
- POS mud guards (side and centre)
- POS wing mount
- Outcast 6S wheelie bar
- put new grease in all diffs (they were half empty...)
- everything else stock
I also have the RPM arms and the POS front bumper, but have not yet seen the need to install them.
I was thinking about going the Kraton XL route with a Mojave M2C chassis, but I'm not sure what would I need to change...
