Kraton Kraton battery tray compatibility between versions?

Hey guys, I've got a V2 Kraton which I absolutely love!

I busted the receiver box/battery tray mount the other day trying to beat my personal big-air record, and I'm wondering if anyone has tried dropping the V3 tray & mount into the V2 chassis?

Specifically, does it fit, and do the mounting holes line up, or do you have to modify it a bit?

It kind of depends on when your V2 was made, some of the later ones came predrilled for the Outcast battery tray. If you have an earlier V2 you will have to drill 2 holes in the chassis. Or you could buy a V3 chassis for about $20.

I bought my Kraton in June of 2016 and the new one I installed last summer fit fine. The new trays are a lot better.
