Oh I’m out breaking plenty of stuff already. But I’ve found replacing/upgrading parts to be the best way to learn the what and why of these cars—and the entire center diff/brace/motor mount section is sort of the last part that I don’t quite understand. So this convo had been very helpful.

It’s the Keaton 6s 1/8 Light Kit from Louie’s Fix It (he sells on Ebay). https://www.ebay.com/itm/1769174815...0ZIqKVaTg-&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Very easy install and setup, but obviously the lights are body-mounted so you have to plug them in/unplug them whenever you put the body on or take it off. Overall, they’re great lights if you’re not sending big off jumps. If you are (like I am now), the double-sided tape used to attach the lights isn’t sufficient. I’ve added a couple zip ties, which has worked great (but obviously doesn’t look quite as sleek).

I also added a simple switch relay to channel 3 on my RX so I can turn the lights on/off from my TX (https://a.co/d/38GQPzw)

I have a bit different setup that I got from Aliexpress. Good LEDs, but not impressed by the housing. So far I designed a different case for the rear light and it works well. Front in progress. Trying to design a protective holder so that the LED survives more than one bash
