Hello all. Kind of a newb when it comes to the newer rcs but mechanically inclined so working on stuff is not a problem. What the problem is I want to bulletproof my diffs but can't find the shims or washers in stock anywhere. Called around out of town even out of state to find them but can't. Dose anyone know any place that has them in stock and willing to ship them? Thanks for any help guys.

A shim is a shim regardless.

On Ebay I purchased a set of combo washers;

http://www.ebay.com/itm/81069-HSP-W...404632?hash=item4ad7851b58:g:ouEAAOSw~CRTqqQS

I have not received mine yet, but for the price is a super good deal. I guess your next option is get the specs and search for them. Ace Hardware has an extensive collection of bolts nuts washers and so on.

Maybe from other brands and give them a ring to customer support.

Found another set from Hobby King for the Berserker...

Or lookup Berserker shims at HK, tons and of all kinds.

And side by side, the Berserker is more truggy for less money. The quality is superb, machinery is at race level. If I would have, and I am really contemplating getting one.

I don't know how to shim a diff. If you know of any YouTube's that show how to do this procedure, Can you send them my way. Thanks

I have to check the factory shim specs. No need to re-invent the wheel. Not sure why all the fuzz of people saying "are the diffs shimmed?" every time there is a ARRMA for sale. Maybe its coming from defective old diffs years ago.

I looked at the illustrations, and it uses one shim per spider gear, so total of four shims. I did not measure them but they seem to be about .25 mm. And one thin large shim over the bearing on the bolt side. That one seemed to be about .20 mm.

The only time I have had a need to re-shim over factory specs is on airsoft guns. Its a tedious process, has to be done the gears completely clean and w no grease or oil. The process after all is keep shimming until there is binding, then back down, and try to have the same equal amount of shims. Airsoft gearboxes are a pain to shim, there is lots of torque trying to push a spring and if not done right will break stuff. On my large scale I simply use the same shims from factory, and polish if need be. The ARRMA diffs to me, the best ones I have ever seen. They come polished from factory which is rare on RTR bashing rc.

If you need a video search youtube for HOW to bulletproof the diff on an Arrma Senton. Should be Thomas P's video and is a perfect follow along video.
