I got an arena kraton. New 3s 5200 75c lipos, a venom 50 watt balance charger. The batteries took about 15 hours to charge. I didn't know if that was bad or not. I put them in the car. Steering worked but not throttle. Then it took off on its own, smoking shooting embers. Any ideas what the problem was? Did it damage the esc or motor? Any help will be appreciated

Maybe if you could post some pictures, we could help a little more. But it doesn't sound good from what you're saying.

eh,... 11V x 5,3A = 57,2W
It´s not normal that these battery needs 15 hours to charge fully.
A bit more than one hour will be normal with an 50W charger because of balancing.
Your cell type settings was OK?
What you describe let me fear that you're ESC is dead....
