Took mine out for the 1st bash and I had a blast. A bit disappointed that my first missed landing ended up ripping the front hinge pin holder off. This is the exact problem I had with my V1 6S Outcast. Would the aftermarket hinge pin holder options like Hot Racing ones fit the EXB w/ its new front bumper design?

Did it pull the countersunk screws through the plastic bumper mount ? ? dang...At least the new bumper pieces are only $15 haha. they are also readily available??

Maybe some longer screws and washers will get you going for now.

I took the pieces out and reinstalled them for now. I'm pretty sure the plastics will rip again on my next tumble but at least I can run it for now. The hinge pin holder top edge was deformed/caved in so I had put a pair of pliers to work so i can shove the piece back onto the red metal hinge plate.

Yeah, they rely too much on too little material for that. I had a similar issue with the rear one on my outcast from t-bone. The two upper diff cap bolts would rip out or at the very least bend. When they would half rip out and I didn't know it, they would then allow the diff to float, which then fried the ring/pinion. I figured out a work around for it, but did away with my sway bar to repurpose the holes for a new plate. Not sure the same can be done with the new front bumper. Probably could though.

This is what I have for the rear t-bone upper plate now and it's holding up well:

Could likely do something similar with the EXB bumper on the front.

I used this stuff to make the plate after the modified t-bone one broke in half and the kydex one I made broke:

It's pretty pliable. I went with the .125" stuff, probably could have gone with the .187".

Thanks for the tip, I'll have to take a look.

So I contacted HorizonHobby through their website about warranty but it's been a week I haven't heard back. Does it typically take this long for them to respond?

You’re claiming warranty on something that broke when you crashed? ?

I’ve been waiting almost a week for an email reply as well. I have a case number but no response

Heck yeah, at least I gotta try, those parts broke on the first crash on grass contrary to the name EXB. The front bumper bundle is $15 a pop, Hopefully we get some aftermarket upgrades soon.

A kinder, gentler BicketyBam will just say we can agree to disagree.
