Can someone tell me what this slot is for please? Looks like some kind of cable management.

Also, first post, sorry if it's in the wrong place and already answered somewhere else

Holds the balance leads of your batteries in place.
However its not advisable to use it as in a bad crash the battery can become elected and it will rip the lead/plug out of the battery.

Thanks rcdonkey. I thought it might be something like that, but decided it wasn't, as the only way the balance lead fits in puts the connector really close to the motor. Is it OK to just leave it flapping about? I sometimes tuck it behind the battery velcro.

I've had no trouble just tucking it wherever it looks safe as long as it can't reach your drive shaft just in case.
You could wack a small zip tie around the balance lead and your battery lead and just cut it off when ya done bashing.

I've been using my balance lead holder since I got my first arrma in 2016 stops if flapping about all over

I’ve never used it what I do is tuck it under the main leads when it’s plugged into the car and it’s stayed there pretty well I used to hold it in place with the Velcro strap but I got lucky with a bad crash that threw the battery out and pulled the balance lead out of the velcro

Thanks everyone. I think I will play it safe and just tuck it behind the velcro. I've never ejected a battery....but why risk it.

I cut it off. I tuck the balance lead under the velco. I also use computer cable strap velcro loops, for more, better cable management. I got made fun if for cutting it off, but it I do not see any use for it, it's gone, all my 6s rigs. Never had any cables get in any moving parts.

Do you have a pic of how you use it please?
no. but it goes in sideways then put the rubber bit over and it hooks underneath there's a slot for the wires also or you can do what's been said above and secure it with the battery straps that's what I do on the kraton 8s cause there's no balance lead slot (y)

If you don't use it, you don't need it. Whatever works I guess. Also....it's technically lighter now😁

Ive got another question. What is the secondary velcro strap for? Im talking about the smaller one that runs around the side of the battery. Ive been using it for keeping wires tight to battery unsure what its actually used for tho. Thanks!

I believe its just extra battery 'strapyness'. Stops side ways play
