Hey guys im wondering how much i can up the pinion to get a little more speed but still be able to bash offroad without over heating anything .. i have the v3 i believe it comes with a 12t pinion stock ? I also have put on a set of truggy tires which are a little smaller then stock and lighter

@Bakker this is going to greatly vary from one person to another as driving habits, terrain, batteries, and so on are all going to play a huge role in gearing. Your best bet would be to buy a cheap infrared temp gun and monitor your temps as you change your gearing.
IR temp gun best, but the ESC does have a overheat cutoff. So he could just go by that.
Keep in mind, while the ESC may not cut off from heat, the motor could still be running at a temp that will greatly reduce its life. But then you got your excuse to buy an even more powerful one
