OK I have been reading on the ballooning effect when you move up to 6S. I do not have much of it now with the 4S. I'm seeing these threads regarding taping the inside of the tires? Or fishing string on the middle of the outside?
Is it better to buy tires that are not preglued and do the tape method and glue myself? I don't want to waste money when purchasing tires so I want to do it correct the first time. What actually works to keep from ballooning?

The stock dboots backflip doesn't balloon that much on 6s, way less than other brands.
This along with putting a higher weight fluid in the center so less of the power bleeds out to the front.

What diff fluid weight do you suggest?
I was thinking of going lighter in the front diff

You probably want to go the opposite way. Most here go thicker all around. F60k/C500k/R20k seems pretty popular. If you’re racing on a track, you might want to go lighter, but for general purpose bashing, thicker is key.
