Kraton Kraton v4 getting hot on stock gearing

I haven’t upgraded to the high speed gear I am running it on 2 3s LiPo 6000 mah 11.1 volts I run it for like 30 min on fresh battery and it gets pretty hot to the touch .

Get a cheap temp gun to keep an eye on temps, just because it’s too hot to touch doesn’t mean it’s overheating

A temp gun is the only way to know if it's hot or too hot.

These motors can do 160-170F during normal 6s operation. That's way too hot to be testing by touch, unless you want 1st degree burns. I put a large heatsink on my motors & hardly ever have thermal problems

Yea no joke- stick your hand under your sink on full hot. And then realize that is nowhere near as hot as these motors are perfectly fine at.
