guys I have a kraton 6S v5 which as you know mounts a 12t as a stock pinion while the stock kraton V6 mounts a 16, if I mounted a 16t pinion on my kraton v5 would it have the same performance as the V6 or not? How is it possible that the esc and motor of the v5 with a 16t would heat up so much that they offer it as an optional pinion, while the v6 already comes stock with a 16t?

V6 esc has different firmware and fan on motor.

What boomer said. Put a good fan on your motor or duals. Turn your motor timing down or off. And you can run the 16t also depending on what terrain you're in without much worry of heat
