Kraton Kraton V6 diff issue

Owned my k6 v6 about a month. Noticed some grinding noises. First thing I noticed was one of the sun gears looking beat up. What could've caused wear like this? Looks like sand got into it maybe? Should I simply replace the worn gear? Thank you for any insight. (Gear on the right is from my v5 for reference.)

Did you take the diff apart when it was brand new? Ive seen brand new diffs with a metal shaving or two in them before.

That’s a casting that wasn’t filled completely or the mold had remnants/irregulariites

First time taking it apart. Oh, a casting issue? I'll ask about warranty then. I better take the other diffs apart and check them too. Should have done that sooner. For now Ill just replace the worn gears. Thank you!
