Ive noticed some of you are making your own parts from kydex. I've found some from Walmart but the thickness is only .060. How are you guys making them strong enough to hold up to the abuse we put them through? I tried making mud gaurds out of old plastic cafeteria trays and the gravel just blew then apart lol. Thanks for everyones help.

1/8" thick works good. I buy my sheets from eBay.

I have 2 different thicknesses. .118" and .060" or close to 1/8" and 1/16"
The .118" I have made a couple skid plates out of and it works great.
The .060" is what my mud guards are made from and they have held up fine. I think the cafeteria trays would be pretty brittle. This kydex very strong and flexible for its thickness. I think that my .118" would be overkill for mud guards.
