Arrma RC's
  1. Granite
I would like to install some lights on my Granite 3s and i was wondering if i can put a wye cable on the connector for the esc fan then connect the fan and the lights off the same plug. Or do i have to plug it into the reciver itself. This might be a noob question, im new to the battery powered rc. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum. I'm not familiar with the 3s esc, and don't want to give wrong information. My first thought though, would still be that you connect the lights directly to an open channel on the receiver, and avoid taking any power away from the esc directly. I'm sure the experienced 3s owners will have more insight. Hope you enjoy the Granite!

Hi and welcome!
Yes you can put a splitter on the output for the fan. It's powered directly from the internal bec, same as the receiver is. Show us a pic when your done!

I don't have any 3S ESC's, so, maybe they are different than the 60A 2S ones i use, or im missing something, but, on mine, the lights just connect to the open channel, or as some are labeled, the AUX or CH3, so wouldnt that work for the 3S setups, or, does the fan connect to that spot?

My fan is connected straight to a port on top of the esc not to the reciver. I will post a picture of it later today.

If yours is the stock 3S with the BLX100 ESC and Tactic TTX300, you should be able to just plug the lights into CH3 on the receiver. Thats how most of them i have ever seen are.

Hi. This post should be helpful.
Granite BLX with stock internals. I plugged the LEDs into the spare channel. I have zip tied the bulbs to the chassis, as mounting them to the lid is a hassle when removing.
The fronts were neatly mounted into the T-Bone bumper however a few rough impacts and they're smoked. So I just secured them to the inner mud guard with 3M adhesive.
Hope this helps.
