I've been seeing a lot of post of people burning up esc. So let's talk about replacement and or preferences. I have recently burned mine up. I am also looking for a replacement I have no warranty any longer and after 2yrs it finally burned up. I really want a mamba max but are pricey so I looked in to hobby wing wp80a what do y'all think and may y'all idea on a replacement!

@LunchBox, in my opinion getting the Mamba Max would be a GREAT ESC and well worth the money. I run a mamba in my 4x4 Stampede and am VERY happy with it. If you want to go with a less expensive route then the Hobbywing Xerun is a great option and one that a couple members here are using and so far have been very pleased with.

I seen this was well....... This will be my first electronic buy so I'm not sure what to go with....... Obviously everyone wants the mamba series but it's out my price range at this point!...... I was also thinking about buying a motor also which motor should I go with to beef up the BLX a little..... My motor is fine but am going to put it in my sons granite! Thnx for thehelp guys

Hi

There is also the RC Gear Shop BL ESC at Tower Hobbies. You can get all of the below items for $125 and if you use "410GB" for the $14 off $99 order code it will be $110, and they have free shipping going on right now. That is 2 motors one 1 ESC and 1 programming card. Just so you know this ESC is a rebadged Hobbywing EZRUN WP-SC8 and the motors are rebadged Lepored motors.

These all seem like good deals ..... I don't want to break the bank but also want decent product...... At first glance the seem cheaply made!

So I tries my truck again today jhs because ...... The esc powered up without a problem it is running a little glitchy I think and is lacking power of the jump....typical arrma problem I guess from What I've been reading

Just got a sidewinder 3 eac motor combo!! I'm super happy with the power and atleast I know I have a good product now instead of arrmas junk system. It was simple to install just a little something holding the esc and something a little fancy for the switch.. Super easy to setup. I watched one YouTube video on how to program and its so simple.

I got the sidewinder 3 esc with a 4600kv 4 poll motor.
Awesome I torn between to castle or one of these hobby wing set up..... so many to choose from and it's overwhelming somtimes......lol!

Also did u get the program card..... I also think these need a cooling fan or theu have an option of a cooling fan u can buy for them

Yes there is a fan that will attach directly to the esc I have ran a few packs now and the warmest it got was just over 100. I did get the castle link to connect to my computer, but haven't had to use it yet. It's very simple to program with the recover using gas and brake! This was my first major upgrade so I did some research and my hobby shop where I got my granite turned me on to this set up.

Yes but I think that's a 5700 kv there. Not sure if that's what your after. If you can buy from a local hobby shop, it might be a few more bucks but they will help with any issues and keep your business local:).
I agree I jus like to know what I'm looking for befor I buy

Just an update on my stock esc and motor.. It has been gone 3 weeks now. Prob wont be here till Friday of next week!! Good thing I bought a back up and I will make sure I get a month back on my warranty. I don't understand what could take so long? I email them and have broken parts replaced in two days. So just a heads up if your planning on sending them your electronics, plan on finding a back up or your car is gonna be down a month.

Hey guys, i'm new to arrma and i had a disappointing introduction. I bought the Kraton and my ESC failed on the second day of using it, i sent it back to arrma for a replacement but i'm actually thinking about swapping out the esc all together. Any suggestions on an ESC that will work with the stock motor and servo ?
