Big Rock lights again

i have a traxxas light bar (the one with four bulbs) and a led light bar i am thinking of installing on the front of the big rock where i live it will get dark at 4pm in the winter, anyway there isn't any room on the front of the br, and so i will have to cut the body about a inch to accommodate either. That is to get it behind the front bumper, so what do you think will that look too tacky? its either that or mound either one on the windshield someplace which might necessitate unplugging it once in awhile. The led is brighter but mainly I want a light so i can see the thing in the dark if I loose contact with it. I hate to cut the body as they did such a nice job joining the two.
