Arrma RC's
Hi,
i'm buying a 2018 6s blx Kraton but i don't know which battery and charger i need to buy.
i would like a 6s lipo battery and my budget is 380 euros for both the battery and the charger.
any suggestions?

Thanks

Batteries and Chargers have been touched on quite a bit recently. I like my 6S 5400mAh from SMC. I'd suggest a charger that can do atleast 100Watts. I'd look for 200watts or higher.

If i knew i'd be charging 6S batteries when i started, i would have gone with a solution like this:
PSU: https://www.smc-racing.net/index.php?route=product/product&path=141&product_id=459
charger: https://hobbyking.com/en_us/0620duo-600w-charger-300w-x2-version-2.html
Battery: https://www.smc-racing.net/index.php?route=product/product&path=67_119&product_id=467

There are a lot of options; the above would make me jealous.

A lot of people run dual 3S packs, then if one gets damaged, your not out an entire 6S pack at a higher price.

You could still leverage a charging system like that though by parallel charging 2 3S packs on each output. I found with chargers that you definitely want to buy for the future. So going with a decent setup from the start becomes much more cost effective over time. Just sometimes a difficult pill to swallow after you shell out $600+ for a truck.

I started with a dual 2x50w charger and outgrew it fast. Took forever to charge 2 9000mah 2S packs. I've since started running smaller 7200/7400mah packs and increased my charger power to a 4x100w/4x10A charger. Guessing that will still be a bit weak if I start running 3S packs instead of 2S packs in my trucks.

That is a great charger but remember that it is DC only and you will need a psu. SMC Racing sells one that's supposed to be pretty good.

And yeah I really wish I would have anticipated having to charge batteries over 2s and 5000mah I would have went with something better than the Thunder AC6 charger that I bought. Trying to charge 2 6200mah 2s lipos woth that charger was dreadfull.

Turnigy Graphene and Turnigy HD batteries are supposed to be pretty good.

SMC makes great batteries, couldn't recommend them any higher.
Don't know if you can find this in your area or how much shipping would be, but I have this charger and it's great. Charges up to 6s, dual ports to charge two at once, and they sell all the different charge leads with whatever connector type you need as well so no need to cut and solder anything.

XT90 leads if that's what you have: http://dirtcheaprc.com/shop/gt-powe...phon-talion-kraton-fazon-nero-outcast-senton/
