lipo on an airplane

I have been trying to find out if you can take a lipo battery on an airplane
Maybe hand carry?
That way you can monitor the battery?
What would be the safest way to transport a lipo battery?

According to the TSA.gov blog, LiPo batteries are permitted on an airplane. Keep in mind, you'll still want to check with the airline you plan on traveling with as they might have their own restrictions.

Without a doubt, you'd be well off to place the battery in a LiPo bag at the very least.
