lipo storage mode question.

ok, so i learned that i always need to keep by lipo in storage mode until use, but let's say i run my granite until LVC, if i put my charger into "lipo storage" mode, will it charge it up to the correct voltage or does it only dis-charge batteries??
any help appreciated!
