Arrma RC's
  1. Kraton 6s
  2. Kraton EXB
  3. Mojave
  4. Mojave EXB
  5. Talion
  6. Talion EXB
Mojave exb chassis, Talion Towers, shocks, bumper, wing and tires. Kraton arms/Hubs/steering rack. Basherqueen ackerman. 13mm wheel extensions and Tbone rear bumper and mud guards. 160a esc and my old V5 Kraton motor on a 23t Tekno pinion. All aluminum bulkheads/covers, aluminum front and rear supports, aluminum h brace and center diff cover. Amazon standoffs to fit the body. Sr315 paired to a dx5c with a 2s battery mod.

Built all from random parts I sourced over a couple month period and a bag of Jennys screws. A couple 2s fans on a little 2s battery. Will go with a bigger motor eventually just wanted to see what I can get out of this one.

That’s awesome. If I wind up parting out my Mojave, I’m thinking about doing this with the Kraton. I bet it handles like it’s on rails.
Yeah it handles great. I also have a kraton exb I put on a Mojave exb chassis with 5mm wheel extenders. Getting ready to paint a C10 long bed neon orange, lol.

Looks Nice.
I did the same thing from JRC.
Built a Kraton on a XLWB chassis.
Kraton BLX open difs

im not quite finished with it but ran some tests and hot around 60mph over a park field with a 18t pinion.
Stock is 12t and they give you a 15 and 23 for speed options, i believe?
Hows it run on that 23t pinion?

When I had the Typhon DIfs in it, a 20t seemed boggy. The 18 was better.
I assumed the 18 would be the same in the Kraton, no less a 23.

I was going to try a variety of Pinions next couple of days.

23t on Katar T's was too much for bashing with the 2050kv that is currently in there. 70-80mph is too much, lol. It would blow a tire or 2 every time out. I dropped to an 18t (which is what is in my Mojave exb with the same motor) but haven't ran it yet. It just has my old beat up V5 Kraton motor in right now that is on it's way out. The rig only weighs 11lbs no battery so wanted to see what the 2050kv could do. Will throw the 23t back in with either a max6 combo 4985 1650kv or a rocket 4092 when the 4074 2050kv grenades. I run either 160a Spektrum or 160a Max 6 in all my 6s rigs btw no 150's.

I believe I used a 14t with the 2050kv in the Kraton on copperheads/backflip 6s. Temps and speeds were good for bashing. Currently run a rocket 1650kv on a 21t with backflip lp's in my V5 Kraton, perfect speed a little on the hot side but probably my favorite rig. My K6EXB is on a max 6 combo 4985 1650kv with 19t and Copperheads, it has good speed and temps. I am also slowly building a long Kraton in my spare time which is what the orange c-10 long bed is for.

Sry for the long wind, lol. If you have Copperheads on the 18t it's probably is on the high side for the 4074 2050kv in grass. It's perfect in the Mojave on Mojave tires for temps/speed. Probably will have heat issues with the big tires. 18-20t is perfect with a 1650kv on Copperheads or full size backflips IMO.

I spent the last couple years dealing with multiple back surgeries/recovery and mastered the 6s Arrma line. Can literally build these things in my sleep and surely build a better diff than Arrma, lol.

Good Info, Thanks.

Here's a run I just did with the Extra Log wheelbase Kraton Buggy. Its weighing in at 14.0lbs with a 8000mAh 6S Lipo. Those CH2 tires are heavy BTW!

Its a 3 month old Firma 150a and a 2050 stock. Seeing around 60mph with the 18t pinion. running Kraton Open Difs with rather thick silicone (f500/c1m/r200). Temps aren't bad and it can run flat-out now.
