Running my BR on a 4S battery. Blx 2400kv motor Firma 130 ESC. I’ve noticed that the motor tends to heat up so I’m looking for a solid recommendation as to a better fan or if I should take off the existing heat sink and go with a completely different set up? Looking for your suggestions. Please include a link to your suggested parts and maybe a photo of your set up. Thanks again

I recently put powerhobby twister fans with the following bracket on my 4s Typhon. It ended up coming with 2 little fans so I used them instead of the 40mm fan I ordered for it. I also run the bigger clamp on my 8s Outcast with dual fans. I will be slowly converting all my cars over to this type of mount and fan setup as it seems to work well. Plus it allows me to have a spare 40mm fan on hand and it’ll fit any of my cars if one dies.

Been happy with this motor (ebay below) and heat sink (separate purchase) on my Big Rock. I have Game Changer fans on my 6S rigs but did not want to spend this much for 3S. I bought this fan and made my own connection to a 3S small lipo and it has been solid and still holding with bashing:

Pictures are a mix or two different ebay fans but I used a GC top plate off a space I had on the ebay fan...

Will this size clamp fit the stock Big Rock motor? Can I mount a 40mm fan to it?

This is a high speed fan which will bolt on as a stock replacement and provide a substantial boost to cooling efficacy. Depending on how tightly your stock heatsink fits on the motor can, it may not be as effective as replacing the heatsink with a fan mount, but it would be a reasonable first step to see if you can get satisfactory cooling without more extensive modifications.
