well don't give up...but yeah that sucks...

alot of times on these ready to run cars ..the servo dual rate isn't properly adjusted...and it only takes a few turns to full lock to fry one...

one more thing to check...open the reciever box and check those connections.....

My NERO had the dual-rate set too high from the factory as well. It wanted to steer the tires past the lock point. This was the first and only adjustment I've made to the truck...and the steering bell-crank screw that was loose by the end of the 1st battery.

yep...very important. ..you will waste a servo in minutes ...if you hear the servo chattering at the full lock positions...thats the sign to look for. ..back off a bit...otherwise you let the smoke out if the box...after that ..it's another 40 or 50 bucks...
