Arrma RC's
  1. Kraton 6s
  2. Mojave EXB
I've been a fan and have used Lucas red n tacky grease for some time on various RC's. I've had several people tell me grease is grease and it makes no difference. Regardless I've continued using Red N Tacy and have been happy with the cost and performance.

Then I came across this video today and found the testing very interesting

I love Project Farm videos and the fact that he doesn't accept any kind of sponsorship from the brands he review.

I was Actually surprised to see it on here, I’ve been using Lucas Red and Tacky for about eight months now and love it I’ve used it in my crawling trucks and on my Arrma Notorious, not in the differentials but on the ring and pinion gears.

i’ve always used a waterproof synthetic green grease

Red n tacky 10 years. Regrease the baja 5b every 2 years. Same tranny gears 10 years old and the look new! Great stuff!!!

Any benefit to use a higher nlgi-3 viscosity or is it too hard?

I stole a bottle at my local store?(Jk) cleaned my diff with soap(removed the bearings of course)
Waiting for my diff yokes and new gaskets to put everything togueter

Its really messy lol its like if it was glue XD
I tested my diff dry ussualy with the other greases my diff is stiff but i used a litle drop of this and it felt kinda smooth vs stiff before i might pack my bearing with that stuff too in the future

Don't pack too much in your diff or rc bearings as grease holds heat very well.

In rubber sealed grease tends to get flung into the outer part of the bearing and dries up

DoEs Grease really can dry? I know white lithium kinda does and in a cheap bearing the grease became rock solid i tried to remove most of the grease of the bearing but i quess the grease was junk inside that cheapo bearing

If it gets hot enough over and over and doesn't move it can get funny and not touch the moving parts of the bearings the way one would think
Not that the grease is crap in the bearings.it just the hole heat cycle thing it wears even on grease.Just like motor oil if you don't change it often enough it turns to sludge.

Well it ran 2 times in my motor before it sounded like sand
And it was towards the end cap so no chance for debris to get in
I did not completly fill the bearing with grease only a little bit enough to not be able to see it .
It does spin with a bit of resistance but thats due to the bearings seals once removed it turns more freely
