Outcast M2C: Anyway to clean this up

Good morning hope everyone’s doing good!
Just bought this ... not in my hands yet

Not exactly sure what the black stuff is but I noticed I have a little on my O8 M2C chassis also

I was wondering if there’s any way to get this stuff off
Or any other recommendations

Looks like it's just residue from the machining process. I'd bet a little simple green or another degreaser/cleaning agent and some elbow grease will clean it up quickly.

I used a little polish with a rag to clean up my m2c parts, works good. But simple green does wonders too

if nothing above works, try 3m adhesive remover
