Curious on what you guys would recommend.

Buyingthe full m2c racing lineup for my kraton 6s v4.

or

Buying the new Kraton 6s EXB Roller

It would cost me around $450-500 for everything that’s in stock. (Front hinge pin kit is out of stock)

exb is 469.99 plus tax.

I get the m2c products would most likely be stronger. But the new exb should be able to handle some abuse according to the videos I’ve watched of it so far. And they were doing some card core bashing. Few little minus issues for a couple people but nothing major broke during the tests.

Do you want a 2nd Kraton? Because this is how you get a 2nd Kraton :)

Seriously though...if you want a second truck, EXB is the way to go. If you want to stick with just one, I would upgrade the existing over time.

Upgrading an existing will cost more, but you arent necessarily doing it all at once (unless you feel like you have to/want to). Also keep in mind the EXB still needs electrics, maybe you swap them from your existing but then you are still "one truck" until you buy replacements.

If you already have a V4 then I would go M2C. If not, I would start with the EXB. I personally would prefer to choose my own electronics so the EXB roller would be my choice. But if you already own a V4 and like the setup you have already, then M2C would probably be more durable in the end.

The other option is sell the V4 and buy the EXB and electronics. The V4 sale would get you probably $400 if it’s in good shape.

I may sell it with the upgrades and a charger/batteries just to move it. Then just have my local hobby shop hold the exb. Not sure yet lol

I have the kraton 8s too. And I was going to buy the limitless roller. But fml I like the exb lol

I would buy the EXB A-arms and the EXB diff., then the MC2 4mm chassis plate, shock tower, the 3035 parts, the a-arms braces. With the 4mm chassis plate you don't really need very beefy chassis braces.

maybe I should just order the m2c and be happy with my current truck. Bought it 2 months 2 early tho haha. But like you said, I’d like to have had my own motor and esc setup from the start.

I’m addicted to these dang RC’s. And I think it’s more me wanting a new toy but also wanting the m2c stuff lol

I do have some of the m2c stuff now. But I was going to order the line up and change stuff as I bent/broke it. Because the down time waiting on parts just sucks

He he, i know what you are talking about. I wait for the EXB and i will put the M2C 3035 that Eric advise, maybe the only M2C part i will have, pretty expensive to get M2C in EU. The 3035 is already shipped, when the EXB should be shipped the august 7 in EU :ROFLMAO:

Yeah we're addicted too....but falling back into stupid issues (pinion keeps slipping on motor shaft). A bit frustrating after going a few weeks without any issue, "fixed" it last night but only got through half a pack before it slipped again.

I think I want to test fit my stock kraton 8s motor and esc on my current 6s. It might be over kill but that wo

I’m having that issue right now. Stock pinion gear never removed and it worked it’s way to the motor mount. And this happened too.( Pic below). But my kraton 8s pinion had so much lock tight on the damn thing. I’m really surprised it worked lose.

btw. I really wish wd40 didn’t collect dust/dirt lol
1 bash after the spray off and putting wd40 and it’s covered like that

If you have money.
Buy the new Kraton. Move stock electronics to this new Basher .
It will handle stock system well i believe.

The old one you have.
Make that custom with new Mamba Combo 8s
And buy Titanium Parts like the Chassie and towers you want in Titanium.
Other parts after you have Titanium Chassie and towers can be almost stock.
GPM is enough.
Most important is chassie and towers. Titanium is the best.

GPM hardened gears and axles is good have if you go 8s

I will have both.
One Bash series Kraton with stock 6s from my Talion.
My Talion will have Titanium chassie and alot more . Also 8s combo

Kraton and Talion are almost same cars.
The Talion is better if you like drive very fast.
Kraton if you like drive in heavier terrain alot.

Use wd 40 specialist. Its a dry lube that doesn't collect dirt and grime...?

I have a fully upgraded V3 Kraton but I'm going to get the EXB anyway. I can't really give you a good reason why other than I just want it. If I were buying my first, I'd probably get the EXB. My thought is it will be tough enough for what most bashers do and it would be the most cost effective in the long run. If I already had a Kraton, I'd probably go the M2C route as the initial purchase price is already a sunk cost.

I built my K6 from the ground up with m2c/jbi/crcu parts from the beginning. The CRCU hinge pin blocks are beefy as well, if the m2c's are out of stock. I think I ended up around $800 into mine with a max6/hobbystar 4092 combo powering it. If you didn't have a k6 and wanted one, buy the exb. You'd be ahead of a stock truck. if you already had a k6 I'd just upgrade it. Maybe down the road i'll try to snag the diffs or at least the gears for mine but I have 4 sets of spare v4 diffs and have yet to break any in my setup. I'm already on RPM arms too and they have served me well.

Sell it. I've got a K6v4 with upgraded SRT 9032 servo, Max8 ESC combo with 2200Kv 4274 motor. The new EXB has been ordered, so I'll just swap all the electronics to the EXB and put the originals back into the K6v4 for an eBay sale.

I just got a V4 a month ago.. While I would like the EXB, I don't like that it's basically a totally different truck from a standard Kraton. I.e. there isn't much in terms of parts cross-over.. I'm still pretty new to Kratons, and I gather the standard chassis is weak. But I'm opposed to the idea of a €100+ "upgrade" chassis on principle.. I'm sure M2C stuff is great, but it's WAY too expensive IMO..

So yeah, probably the best option is sell the V4 and get the EXB... But I am really not keen on selling a truck I just got and dealing with any uncertainties selling it.. Then the idea of at some point down the road getting an EXB is also problematic, as it would mean two separate parts lines.. Kind of a weird thing Arrma has done here. Unless they plan to replace the V4 with an RTR EXB, which would obviously cost a lot more... (Would be no surprise I guess coming from Horizon...)

Every part on the exb can be put on a v4 and vice versa. Its all interchangeable

Say you wanted to upgrade your V4 diffs. Well, aren't all three different? So €100+? Chassis - probably also going to be €100+... A-arms I don't really care about.. But as far as I can see, "upgrading" a V4 to an EBX would be mostly senseless. You'd be better off just buying an EBX. Say you break a part on your V4 - nine times out of 10 I think it would make more sense to just replace it with a V4 part... (for ex. an A-arm.. Well if you wanted to "go EBX" you'd probably go for all four - then whatever else to go along with it... So a simple little broken part becomes a big investment...) IMO, in most cases, if you don't want to do €100+ upgrades every time you break someting smallish, it's really just two separate product lines...

And obviously going the other way would make no sense.. Who's going to break a part on their EBX and put a V4 part on it?.... (OK, shocks are the same...) In my view it makes little sense to have both..., when it comes to sourcing parts. If you're going to have two Kratons IMO it makes more sense for them to be either both V4s, or both EBXs.. That way you can scavenge better.. That's why I think they're really just two different cars..
