Typhon M2C shock tower failed (bent / broken)

Everything else on the car is fine - this is the only thing that gave. I do push the vehicle but this was in grass.... and no where near RCdude81 or Duperbash level.

Did you buy from M2C directly? That part almost looks like the thicker layer welded on and it's cast vs cnc'd billet. Zooming in on it, it almost looks like that part is pealed away from the broken part.

When I recently sheared the tap of my shock cap, I called him and explained the situation and he said “That will happen when bashing... “
I agreed and took responsibility for the break. However you couldn’t buy just one cap at that time. So we discussed him selling them in pairs and when he came up with a price he sent me a pair ASAP, at my expense of course.

Like I said I love M2C and Mitch is a reasonable man but don’t expect him to give the store away. ?

Did you drive “almost” under something? What does your body look like ? I agree with Slick.

It is definitely 7075 and that is what it does. It is very strong but will not bent much before it cracks. you can restraighten 6061 several times but once 7075 bends one way if it doesn't crack chances are when you bend it back it will. Not all aluminum is created equal. Extruded 6061 is far stronger than the 6061 arrma uses for their chassis and towers. Jig plate 7075 is not as strong as extruded bar stock as well...

well said, mitch is great businessman. with that being said i in the past couple of months have bought a lotof m2c upgrades and one of them was the standoffs well after my first run and some mild jumps nothing like duperbash or rcdude81, it snapped right off, so i took picture sent on messenger he immediately replied knowing that I just received that day and this was my first run didn't offer 2 replace but instead said he sells 2 pack replacements. he is a successful businessman and imo is not going to give a replacement tower if he wouldn't even offer 2 send out a standoff. but you never know. i will always purchase m2c upgrades just 4 the simple fact that he has been in this line of work 4 a long time and is world known. mitch is awesome and his parts are top notch. btw i have his towers, how in the hell did u bend it?

yeah I broke a m2c stand off on talion. fixed it been fine sinse
