im building a kraton 6s xl and cant decide on the just bash it or the m2c can you help?

I agree. I saw one built by a local guy, a Mojave, and it looked terrible and was roughly as thick as a slice of thin bread. I’m quite sure it’s bulletproof, but everybody there was running circles around him. I just don’t get that approach for off-road rigs.Nothing against JBI but their finish looks like complete ass and the fact that you can't use any of the side guards on their chassis is a major deterent for me.
I dunno about their 6s chassis but the 8s chassis is nice, very comparable to m2c and a lot cheaper. I can't argue the finish though! I can see how some would not like it haha.I agree. yeah a chassis sorry forgot to say thatFor what part are you considering? A chassis? A servo mount? A ESC mount? What's on your mind?
cant you just put a stronger servo on it and it will handle good again?Whatever you decide, bear in mind that it’s way too easy to spend stupid money to build a very heavy pig of a Kraton and completely destroy the very good handling capabilities of the rig. In a hardcore basher inertia is not your friend.

Thank you for the feedback and that's what I was thinking its crazy that jbirc chassis is cheaper even though I feel like they have way more beef on them. also I love your channel so much! I watch it all the timeI've got chassis from both and I think they're both equally as good. JBIRC is cheaper though so I'd go with that. For a Kraton 6s though? I really love my scorched rc carbon fiber chassis, light and it's taken a beating so far.
I'll be honest I have not used adu yet most the time I stick to hot racing but I heard there parts are really good so I'll have to check it out.Pretty sure you are wanting a chassis since you said Kraton XL. I would stick to M2C or ADU Racing for aluminum upgrades, I have both and the ADU has a nicer finish and is less $$$.
No, not really. It isn’t just about the steering, it’s about inertia. Too much weight has several very negative impacts. The first is, when you crash hard you can get much more damage. That extra weight does not stop as easily. Ironically, when someone wants to mitigate the potential of crash damage by adding very heavy chassis “upgrades” and lots of high quality aluminum components the resulting extra weight actually makes the problem worse. Sure, that heavy, thick aluminum chassis might be fine and undamaged, but other stuff will not.cant you just put a stronger servo on it and it will handle good again?
this is very true and will think about a minor change in plans because this is true more upgrades equal worse damage. Secondly, heavy rigs do not change direction nearly as easily. You can upgrade to the best servo in the world, but when you’re speeding along and turn then the rig will push against the change. The heavier it gets the worse it is. This is true of acceleration, braking, turning, and air control.
Don’t get me wrong, a lot of people do what you want to do and love it. I just don’t personally like the approach. I try to keep necessary upgrades to a minimum on my off-road rigs and usually limit them to chassis braces, bulkheads and pin blocks, hub carriers, and servo mounts. Those upgrades don’t add a ton of weight and eliminate most of the problem, breakage prone items.
On-road cars are a different matter, especially in speed run cars where extra weight can actually be your friend when incorporated properly. Of course, when you crash one the same problem arises and damage is much more severe than that of a lightweight car.
As always, there are many approaches to the hobby and all of the above is simply one dude’s opinion. Your signature line sums it up perfectly.

you know what I have noticed how ever. the kraton right now well Idk the version its kinda confusing but that thing already is a beast! stock chassis not many upgrades at all the only thing I ever break are the tie rod ends so I upgraded them to aluminum and now its perfect!You’ll save money and probably enjoy the rig more.
