Thank you for the feedback and that's what I was thinking its crazy that jbirc chassis is cheaper even though I feel like they have way more beef on them. also I love your channel so much! I watch it all the time
haha I've nose dived both my m2c and jbi 8s chassis right into the sidewalk and both of them ate it no problem. Thanks for watching btw! (y)

Nothing against JBI but their finish looks like complete ass and the fact that you can't use any of the side guards on their chassis is a major deterent for me.
New side guards for their chassis are incoming

I have m2c and scorched rc upgrade parts and have to agree with above I've wasted a lot of money on upgrades if you go too far it does make the cars too heavy. best upgrade for me is the m2c chassis and braces but not until I've bent stock parts first I also like to upgrade my rear hinge pin braces and just the front hinge pin brace scorched rc do some beauty's

Not sure, i was lucky to get some prototypes i put on my noto build. Lots of stuff going on behind the scenes with those, bodies, and pps now being under the jbi umbrella.

Do the prototype parts have the new branding on them?

Prototype no, and they were more to check the fit and not of the final material.

I laughed a bit when I saw the new branding. Curt is skating a very fine line considering the M2C logo is trademarked.

Well let's just say that the Just Bash It Brand is going to be rebranded and the new logo looks awfully close to M2C.

I'm not a big fan of JBI. I definitely prefer M2C, as well as Vitavon...but have proven themselves, quite a few times, to be high-quality. Ann added benefit of Vitavon is the anodized options. That said...and, as others have already pointed out, "too heavy" of a vehicle is a bad thing. You should be VERY careful in selecting 'which' upgrade parts to install. Even manufacturers can take upgrades "too far". For example, when I think of the various Traxxas 'Ultimate' vehicles, I see upgrading (in this case, factory "in-house" upgrades) taken WAY beyond what should be done.

When I'm looking to upgrade any RC, I start by taking all possible upgrades, and dividing them into 3 primary categories - performance, handling, and aesthetics. For 'clarification', anything falling into the "aesthetics" category is really just for making the vehicle look better, and should be avoided for most vehicle types (the one major exception is scale vehicles (such as crawlers, especially when competing, as such things increase your points). Next, I take the first two (performance & handling), and divide them into the following sub-categories - "required", "nice to have, but not absolutely necessary", and "not really needed". Another word for "not really needed" is 'bling'. These are the parts that really do nothing other than add unneeded weight. A perfect example would be installing aluminum arms on 'bashing' vehicles...on 'speedrun' vehicles, yes, but not on 'bashing' vehicles. Some upgrade parts are perfect/outstanding for certain RCs, and useless/worthless for other RCs.

Once you put this type of classifying & categorizing into effect, you'll be better equipped to determine what upgrade parts are best for any specific vehicle. Best of luck to you.

These parts are basically what you'll find on eBay, Amazon, and Aliexpress sold under 20 different brand names.

True...but, even some upgrade parts sold by the manufacturers of the kits & RTRa can still be 'bling'. As for the parts sold by M2C & Vitavon, I highly doubt you'll find them being sold under "other names", as each of those two designs & manufacturers their own parts...they aren't some "cheap Chinese company" selling parts made by some other OEM.

Oh no I was just saying that those parts are just bling vs whereas stuff from the OEM, M2C JBI or Vitavon for the most part actually make functional products.

Got ya...and agreed...for the most part. There are a good number of parts from other companies that are also "functional products". For example, Hot Racing makes more 'functional' parts than they do 'bling'...but, GPM definitely makes more 'bling' than 'functional' parts (although, I have to admit, they have recently "stepped up" their game by (finally) producing quality 7075 parts). The ones to mostly watch out for are the "no name" brands sold through Amazon & eBay...when you find the exact same item being sold under multiple (sometimes, more than a dozen) 'brand' names, that's when you know to "avoid".

That's what I said.

I’m not a proponent of the “beefcake” movement at all.
As the owner of a 16lb Kraton and Sledge I'll have to say your right. Half of those trucks portliness is to deal with the other
half of their portliness. It's a learning curve.
