I really want to like this truck. But the jury is still out. It’s a great idea, poorly executed. It has been run once, never jumped, and has a bent driveshaft? The shocks have a dead spot in them the size of Montana, the steering system is assenine, and the ball links have way more play in them than any RC I’ve ever owned.
These were brand new ball ends.

There are good points too, the suspension is nice and tight with no play, and is super easy to work on. The diffs and drive pinion are self contained in their own case within the bulkheads, it does handle extremely well, and I like the tires.

Where my mind went…

Ngl when you bought it I wanted to say something but I try not to rain on people parade haha. I thought you were nuts for buying this poop 🤣

I have never had good luck with Redcat. I think the Kaiju was a good rig but I have no personal experience.

I got it brand new for $300, otherwise I wouldn’t have. I plan to use it for a re-engineering project. I’m going to make a good truck out of it.

The only Redcat experience I have is with my nephews Everest. He‘s not nuts about it because it’s so slow and takes forty acres to turn it 180°. I tried explaining the crawler approach to him and even offered to convert it to having rear wheel steering (easy to do) but he declined. He likes the way it looks on his shelf.

This is exactly how the Kaiju is. Lots of really good stuff. Couple of flaws. However, in the case of the Kaiju, you are able to DIY some pretty good fixes for them, most of which are even stronger and more durable than the stock parts. To the point where the truck is actually one of my favorites to drive since I'm not worried about breaking anything (or if so, the specifics parts are dirt cheap). Hopefully at least one of those is the case for you here!

Sorry to hear..at $300 no big loss, 6s version? If so, tires, motor/esc and servo outta the deal at least🤷‍♂️
I have throughly, happily thrashed my Kaiju for 3 years now..even converted it to an EXT. No complaints.. see, low expectations can have a positive outcome!😉🤣🤣🍻

It’s a 4s, but it’s going to be an 8s. 😂
It came with a nice Hobbywing ESC, and it’s a later one with the parts bag so you can upgrade it to not breaking itself while sitting on the shelf. It’s not a bad truck. I have big plans for it.
