Kraton Maintenance after 1 year of abuse(kraton exb)

After a year of abuse im taking my kraton 6s exb to complete bits. What pushed me to do this was mostly my ultrasonic cleaner i like stuff clean! My kraton exb is 90% stock. I want to prove to everyone that you do not need to spend 1-2k into making a bulletprof kraton. Im an avg basher i send mine full speed all the time on anything that can catapult my rc's in the air. Damage report once everything is tore down

I'm about to do the same with my Pre-Owned Dumpster Fire (re-)build..

I should have taken more pics/videos.. Just can't seem to entice my wife or girls to come into a frigid garage to help video the process..

So far the damage:
-2 bent hub carrier pins one has become a taco.
-slightly bent rear shock tower
-cracks on the 3D rc wing mount
-one cracked hub carrier the screw took him out.
-2 slightly bent pivot balls
-Ovaled hinge pin hole on one of the rear arms(same side as the cracked hub and bent pin.

The plastic so strong the steel bends
Diffs look mint going to take those oaart later. Chassis is flat but at first look it looks bent mainly because of the worn ears. Going to clean it real good and see again

Those wing mounts look to be printed with PLA filament..
Perhaps you should look into getting the wing mounts by @3d-rc.myshopify.com who makes them with TPU instead.

Composite Nylon suspension arms..

Perhaps they should make those wimpy steel pins out of Carbon Fiber rods instead.

@Tex Koder they are 3DRC wing mounts already.The one on my notorious is far worse but it has been in bad condition since last year its still holding and doing its job and thats what matters. I have 2 new sets I bought last year waiting for one to break

I got a spool of (rainbow color) TPU ,But I have not attempted a print with it yet...

Ultra sonic cleaner and aluminum do no go togueter...

Looks so clean yes but some part the red starts to come off while wiping the parts dry.. the hot racing anodizing didnt budge only the arrma ones.

Its the cleaning solution. I now use simple green pro HD. doesn't attack anodizing or make alluminum dull

She looks brand new. Cleaned in my ultrasonic cleaner

I only replaced the rear hub screws and one wheel carrier, bent the rear shock tower flat. It is really just an undestructable RC. The biggest upgrade is really the rear gearbox

Just went over mine. Found broken rear shock that looked good. Most important find was the rear bearings from running in dirt. They were gone. How is that front bumper assembly mine was crap. How long since you refilled fluids, how is it looking now?

Its in good shape mostly due because i have a 3d printed bumper spring on there. My original snapped off due to wear because of the premature break of the spring. I only change diff fluid when i do my maintenance. I don't want to open my felony diffs because i really don't have a reason to. My notorious i have to because i have to put the normal bearings back on(i run stainless for winter)

In regards to the ultrasonic cleaning, did you just put all your pieces into the machine and let it clean? How long did you do them for?

Also agree that the solution makes a big difference. I use that simple green HD in my ultrasonic too because it says it's safe for aircraft/aluminum.

Depends of the concentration of the cleaner. 10-20 mins per batch

I got that specific cleaner because they seem to be the more honest about the quantity of liquid it can hold. A lot on amazon claim to be 4L but have only a 2.5L capacity. I returned the original i bough and bought the pro version for 5$ more. So i went from a timer of 90-180-380-480 seconds to 5 to 25minutes
