Anyone know what motor mount is out there for HW Max 4 can? Lmk!! Thanks!

Didn’t Talbot put two of them in his Sausage Snowboard? Or did he not use the monster motor just the Max4s?

HW Max 4 is an esc.

Someone should be able to advise on a motor mount if you post which motor you are using.

Max 4 combo.. 560kv motor mount is what im asking about. Thanks!

Big maybe? New to the forum..
Welcome! He’d be doing it for the whole rc community, it’s just a question of if he can sell enough to make it worth his while. He’s made other crazy stuff like the dual 2028 mount. So I wouldn’t say it’s totally out of the realm of possibility.

I'm only going off the top of my head. I haven't really looked into the HW 560kv motor and what it would take to make it happen.

I think the biggest issue will be motor length. The 2028 is a 56113, or 113mm long motor which is already basically touching the steering components.

The Max4 560kv motor is a 70125. Or 125mm. It's basically a half inch longer. The 70mm diameter is a thing, but that's way easier to accommodate.

You can see in this photo, the 1/2" just isn't there with the factory motor position and stock steering setup.

That's not to say it's a hopeless situation. I'm sure others have already figured it out... but a drop in no major mods part is going to be tough.

When I get in the shop tomorrow I'll take a closer look and see what I can see.

Wasn’t even thinking about the length. That could present a problem.. I know the 113 is tight as is. I’ve got faith in you though Bob, if anyone can dream something up it’s you! 😎

Scorched RC's Roto-Lok mount will accommodate the HW 70125 motor. That's what KT used to install the 70125 in his Limitless.
Scorched doesn’t make a roto-lok for the Arrma 8s trucks though. Even if he did, its the length that would be the issue. The 113 almost rubs the bell crank as is depending on gearing.

My bad...wrong vehicle :) Cheers bro (y)

No worries, I forgot about Kevin’s sausage mobile. And the fact the roto-lok fits that monster can. 🤙

I would really appreciate that! Thank you!

This link is to an ESC mount, was looking for motor mount, maybe i didnt see that on fhe site
I don't think there is any 8s motor mount specifc for a Max 4 per se.
A motor mount is irrespective of any chosen ESC.
Look to PPS or M2C perhaps for M. mounts.

You can switch the Center Driveshaft's. put the longer one in the front and vice versa. You do have to make new screw holes. so now we only need a spacer in between the Center Transmission and the chassis. Thats where PPS-RC comes in and also create a fan/heatsink/motor mount that screws into the chassis for the back of this huge 560kv motor to lessen its wobble, have to drill new holes obviously. And also make a dual motor mount for those nutty professors out there. Once created I will definitely buy all of it. If you have any questions in the design of it just ask, I'm a bit of an engineer :) Also make a new Center Tower set up if possible.
