MAX Lenght Motor fits in stock mount is 110mm / 4.33 in

TP motors 4070 will be too long ?
The motor+ cables ? How long is 4070 tp with cables ?

TP 4060 is 92mm long + cables, so this will fit offcourse

Do these 40 size TP run hot ?

Why have TP not made 45-49mm motors ?

V1 Lipo trays are 180mm ?

V2 is 30mm less in battery trays ?

Most of my Lipos are 160mm +

motor cables don't matter very much and personally I wouldn't count it with motor length but thats just me. The 4070 will fit fine, it is 107mm. As far as temps, it depends on the particular motor you choose. The 4070 2080kv I have in my Talion and the 1700kv I have in my Talion XL both do really and temps are pretty damn nice for me.

I also have the 4070cm 2200kv in a limitless and it's not bad temp wise but not as good as the other 2. I don't remember if I tried it with 0 timing yet though to be fair.

You also have more options than just the 4070 from TP. The tp 5660 will fit in the new limitless and it's a beast. You can also get any of these TP motors sensored.

You bring up a good point about the 1/5 motor slide. I'm wondering if it's the same thing now too. I actually ordered the new one with my pre order and it was 20$ USD. I didn't want to buy it but also wasn't sure if the pps mount would work so I just did it so I'd be prepared either way. I'm going to be salty if its the same.


The manual says 150mm iirc, I was worried and went to look up my battery dimensions. Claimed 155mm but I measured it to 145mm and those are some big ass yowoo graphenes 6000 mah batts that barely fit in my kraton or talion. battery trays without being squeezed in.

For bashing you only need max 75% of the Power, this could mean a cool motor in temps, and never stressed, because use of only 75%
power is already pretty INSANE

i HATE that my Lipos are all 160mm they fit in Limitless V1 100%

FYI the XLX2 does not run correctly with higher KV motors that are 6-pole like the 1/5 TP motors like TP5660 5670 5860 5870 etc... In general, if using a 6-pole motor you want to stay in the 1100-1460 kv range.

Why not replicate what they used in the V2 launch video where they race the F1 car? It was a TP4070-CM motor. The V2 limitless did 150mph and they showed the gearing they used along with suspension settings etc.

They basically gave you a simple build sheet for 150mph that matches your goal.

I have a 10kw tp5660 1636kv motor at a custom 83mm length to fit in my v1. However the 12kw 103mm tp5670 will fit in the v2 limitless.

Funny enough I just measured the tp 5660 I have in my Talion XL and it will fit in a limitless v1 too. I thought it was longer but apparently there are different versions with different lengths.

@LibertyMKiii You think that XLX2 6 pole problem would apply to a sensored motor? I'm assuming not. Hopefully anyway as I have a sensored 1720 tp 5650 going in the v2. I don't want to regret getting the xlx2 over the mmx8s as I've never had a problem with 6 pole higher kv motors with the mmx8s.

the tp5660 sensored motor i have works perfectly with the xlx2. Very smooth at low rpms, zero cogging.

1636kv rated for 8s at 10kw but it makes more like 12kw peak. Cheaper than a 2028 and fits in the front stock motor position. Im able to use the stock body and run it on an xlx2 and 2 4s cnhl 9500mah 100c lipos in series. I can post a picture if you'd like. I want to get the v2 limitless to run a 5670 motor now...

Here’s some pictures. Sensored top motors have the wires come out the side rather than the back, this makes it fit with 5mm clearance.
