Max10 g2 dead after about 50 battery packs

Disappointing, never got this thing over 140 degrees. Just out bashing in a parking lot and it started acting like it was losing a lot of power. Drove it back to me to look for the issue and it just stopped about 10 feet away and started sounded like it was cogging. Turned it off and looked at it, couldn't find anything wrong. Tried to turn it back on and it wouldn't respond at all when I pressed the power button. Battery voltage was at 3.7, tried another battery and still nothing. Is this thing dead?

50 packs seems like nothing to sneeze at especially being a 1/10th scale ESC.

Tough to say how long they should last, guess it probably depends on your driving style too .

I have a 2400kv Max10 in a Drag Slash with a few 4s packs through it without issue but with 15 cars in the stable, it might take me a few years to get 50 packs thru this combo.

*Edit: I bet I don't have 50 packs thru my oldest car....

Which G2 was it, the 80 amp or the 140? And how did you you get 50 packs through it already? A pack a day keeps the boredom away?

It was the 140a G2. Im still running the old 120a Max10 sct version on my Stampede, it easily has over 100 packs run through it.

Im going to check, but the sensor wire got ripped out by a stick during a bash and im sure they will say its been abused, lol.

Progress. Better spec sheets inferior Reliability and likely made cheaper than his predecessor. But they seem to fail less frequently than castle.

Tutorial how to transform a sensored esc into sensorless. Maybe the Wires of the sensor shorted?

There is no transformation necessary. Just don’t plug in the sensor wire. It’s that simple.
