Hey dudes.
Does anyone know if the Max6 G2 ESC fan runs on demand or is it supposed to run all the time? I ask because I just installed it in the Super Lasernut and the fan didn’t come on. I haven’t run the rig yet to verify if this is the case.

Cheers
Kev

I’m so lazy.
Just did a wee bit of research and discovered that yes, the fan runs on demand……

Nothing to see here……move along.

Mmmm.
Ya, that sounds like a good idea. I really don’t like the idea of my fan not running constantly .

Too bad there's not an option on the app for changing that to full time.

is this sarcasm or is there really no option in the app? :ROFLMAO:

Unfortunately, there is not. Wish there was tho. So maybe sarcastic, yes. 😆

True, but that’s where receiver aux ports come in. A couple splitters and you’re groovy.

I know right. I'll probably go that route.

I've already added a piggyback 35mm fan to the caps. Thinking I might add another stacked on top of that. Keep the stock ESC fan & add another on top of the piggyback one & 10mm standoffs to the left. Those piggyback ones run full time & the stock one runs when it wants. What'dya think? Lotsa cool

Looks fantastic! I want to see when you do that. You might be the first builder ever to incorporate triple fans on an ESC!

Thanks Dan! I'll definitely post that when I get it done. Gotta make sure the receiver will handle 4 extra fans.

Two on the motor, one on the caps. Another would make 4.

It might be time to consider a dedicated LiPo or a stand alone BEC to power the receiver. Glitch busters help, but you’re probably pulling a good 10-12 amps from four fans? Your servo might get too hungry, and your range might be affected.

Correct. That's kinda what I was thinking.
