Mega motor up in smoke new system needed

Honestly budget and durability wise I would go with a castle creations sidewinder esc and 4600kv motor and run it on 2s if you don't want to break parts constantly. There are alot of good options but that is a good reliable and relatively cheap option. You could get a cheaper motor and throw a blx100 esc in there as well and stay under $75 and have tons of power. I think brushless 2s will be the sweet spot. Hope you get it figured out bro!

I went with a Goolrc S3650 4300KV motor, a 60A ESC with program card. I'm going to run it in the stock NiHm batteries for a little while. Next week I'm going to purchase the slipper and the HD input gears. I also purchased the Fast Eddie bearing kit last night.

When taking apart the stock slipper assembly a few nights a go, I noticed that the plastic center hub is melted and deformed. First can I get just the plastic hub, second do i need it if going to the box slipper assembly?

The slipper is fine for 2s/3s and reasonable motors. The 48p spur may give up the fight, though.

What do you recommend for a spur gear and pinion?

I went with this one. It’s been good so far although it’s pricey. Now I’m on the hunt for a 17t pinion that’s worth a damn. I keep spinning the 2 I have even with blue locktite after a 24 hr dry. It’s pissing me off lol.
