It actually de-glued 3 tires  in this video:

More Carnage

One of the reoccurring problems I have is ripping out the front & rear hinge pin holder screws. I already did it twice with the stock arms. Now it's the AL arms' turn. I may have to get creative to solve this one. One clue is that the skid plate broke too:

I must really like working on this thing ? . . .

This time it's a steel rear skid ?

Now I HAVE to do the front

Thank you GPM - now to hurry up & wait, heck I still need to install the center diff case :ROFLMAO:

Actually, I still need to do the HR rear hubs, M2C & HR shock stuff, braces, & diff cases. I also had a very slight crack in the rear diff cup & no damaged gears. I'll bug GPM about that next. I also finally got around to shortening the motor wires.

That's 2 cracked rear diff cups this month . . .

I'm finally digging into the K8S again. I only have time to do the rear bulkhead since the plastic one is completely stripped out. The GPM part is awesome. The only bad (or maybe it's for the better) part is that it splits down the middle in half, so you'll have to remove it to access the diff. You also have to assemble the input gear, bearings, & CVD before the case can go back together. But there is ZERO play with the gear mesh, absolutely ZERO  I left the stock shim in place. I also shimmed a sun gear on the inside to get rid o the play there too. I already wrecked 2 sets of internals because of that play.

I hate to dig up an old thread, but my K8S has completely transformed since it's humble beginnings . . .

New bodies, body mounts, removable roll cage, huge wheels, 10mm Rovan shocks, etc. I'm loving the direction it's heading in.

It looks pretty good with the Redcat R5 body but it's REALLY thin . . .

The original Rampage body is 3 times as thick. I only put some foam around the mounting holes & on the roof. It doesn't need anything else.

I'm not gonna lie, I thought I was going be up for a huge repair bill when the truck was 20ft up doing all kinds of 720s. It landed on half of the wheelie bar & a rear wheel. It blew out the body in the rear, bent the driveshaft, & loosened the skateboard truck. That was with the Outcast tires. Both the turnbuckle & BMT tire broke on pitiful cartwheels. It caught so much air I didn't even get it all in the shot, but I clearly felt the tremor it made when it landed :ROFLMAO:

In still don't know why I have the stock turnbuckles on this thing when I found some awesome replacements. I better go on & change them anyway.

What weight fluid do you run with those bad boy shocks?

5000cst. When I can get it to land right , it's dead solid perfect. But the field is so unleveled that it's a terribly bumpy ride to the ramp - then it hits the ramp & it's like brace for impact :ROFLMAO:

I was in Lowes yesterday & saw this flex paste stuff . . .

If your impressed, that’s say’n something!
I’m definitely going to try this. 👍

I'm starting to feel just as obsessed with this thing as I did with the Kaiju (& it can take all the hammerheading my 2 nephews can dish out). When it rolled away from that 20ft tumbling fall, I knew I was on to something. Now I just need to keep at it until I get these bloody turnbuckles right . . .

The EXB's chassis might as well be 6061 jello so I gave it a 1/4" 7075 bash bar. Every time I cut & drill this stuff, I'm reminded of how much a PITA true 7075 is to work with
