As promised. A few more detailed shots on the memorial car.

This was in remembrance of my sister Liana who passed on 2-27-20.

Purple was her favorite color and she had said that it always looked good beside grey or chrome. She wanted a few cars with that in mind but could never settle. So I put it all in there.

The heart was her favorite thing and the line from it is her last stable heartbeat.

The “I’ll be” was a shared thing between her and our sister Kim. It’s in Lianas hand from a letter she had written.

There is a 7 in various points in Lianas hand. A shared sentiment between her and her daughter.

The marks are able to be lit. But they aren’t. Deeper meaning behind it. A light that cannot be lit, but the vessel present.

There are subtle swirls in a darker purple on various parts and in the paint. Liana used to do that on notebooks and shirts. I mimicked what she used to draw.

I played a mean prank on her as a kid, cellophane across the toilet under the seat and when she caught up to me she cracked a couple of ribs, I had a couple of loose teeth and we got a good laugh out of it for years once she felt we were square. So I used cellphone in the finish. You have to look at the surface, but it’s there. I used purple color shift and you can only see the wisps in the sun as you move the car. It looks like color smoke. Very subtle.

I matched the chassis to the body and all of the parts.

There were a few more simple hidden things in there like the hidden prince logo in the bed.

So there you have it.

You're right, I didn't see these details on the last thread

It is beautiful. You can see the meaning behind the work and effort. Great job mate, and I'm sorry for your loss ?

very nice, I hope after all that work you save that body. I wouldnt even bash it, I like all the details you added. Well done sir

Thanks

Oh the prince logo can also be lit

I may take the advice and not bash the body. I usually don’t have any shelf queens but this one has meaning

Really nice work and tribute. Someone told me once about losing a loved one. “The pain never goes away, you just get used to it.” Very sorry for the loss of your sister. I’m sure she would love the job you did.
